A little guidance for your next step

Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers for parents exploring SPARK Playschool.

Programs & Enrollment

What ages do you accept?

Our available programs welcome children ages 1.5–6 years. Bright Spark Tutoring will cater to children ages 6–8 years and is coming soon.

What are the differences between your programs?

Spark Open Play: Encourages curiosity through self-directed play. Children explore, discover, and choose activities that interest them.

Tiny Sparks: Focuses on social play, helping children build confidence, communicate with peers, and practice sharing and taking turns.

Spark & Grow: Offers one-on-one learning tailored to your child’s pace and needs, with focused support for communication, early learning, and independence.

Sparkventure: Offers themed Saturday and special-event activities that combine creative arts, hands-on discovery, sensory play, and social interaction.

Does my child need an assessment before joining?

We offer a free in-house pre-assessment to understand your child’s needs and recommend a suitable program.

A separate ₱1,500 fee covers assessment using the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Checklist, which helps us understand your child’s development. The checklist is used in DepEd’s Kindergarten assessment process; the fee is charged by our playschool, not mandated by DepEd.

How many children are in each playgroup?

Playgroup size varies with enrollment, with a maximum of 8 children—the playschool’s current capacity.

Do you welcome children with additional learning or developmental needs?

We currently cannot provide specialized learning or developmental support.

If you have concerns about your child’s development and they have not received a diagnosis, our free in-house pre-assessment can help us discuss their needs and whether our programs and staffing are suitable. It is not a diagnostic assessment or a guarantee of admission.

For needs beyond our current support, please consult a qualified developmental professional.

Can we book a trial or a single session first?

Open Play is free during our grand opening week, November 8–13, 2026. Sessions run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on November 8, and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on November 9–13. Each child gets a one-hour session, with a maximum of 6 children per hourly slot. Pre-registration and schedule selection are required, and slots are subject to availability.

After grand opening week, you can book a paid single session before choosing a package.

Booking & Attendance

How do I enroll and book a session?

Message us to check availability and request your preferred schedule. All programs are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

For a single session, complete our registration form and pay the session fee to confirm your booking. The form asks for your child’s details, emergency contacts, relevant health information, and authorized pickup person. No school records or birth certificate are required for a single session.

What happens if my child misses a session?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or request rescheduling. Sessions missed without notice are not eligible for a makeup. For sudden illness or emergencies, contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling.

Eligible makeup sessions must be completed before your package expires. Validity starts on the payment date: 2 weeks for 4 sessions, 1 month for 10 sessions + 2 free, and 2 months for 20 sessions + 2 free.

Please book in advance. Replacement slots are first-come, first-served and subject to availability.

What happens if the playschool cancels a session?

If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a power outage or typhoon, we’ll coordinate with you to arrange a replacement session. Replacement sessions for playschool cancellations may be completed even after your package expires, subject to availability.

What if we arrive late or pick up our child late?

Please notify us if you’re running late. Arrivals up to 15 minutes late are allowed, but the session will still end at its scheduled time.

Moving to another slot is subject to availability, with existing bookings taking priority. Sessions rescheduled because of late arrival must be used before your package expires.

For late pickup, we’ll issue a warning initially. Repeated late pickups will incur a fee. Please collect your child on time so we can prepare for the next session.

Fees & Packages

How do session packages and free sessions work?

Validity starts on the payment date. All paid and free sessions, including eligible makeup sessions for child absences, must be completed within these periods:

4 sessions: 2 weeks

10 sessions + 2 free: 1 month

20 sessions + 2 free: 2 months

If the playschool cancels a session, its replacement may be completed after package expiry, subject to availability.

Please book in advance. All programs are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept GCash, BDO, Unionbank, and Maya. Full payment for your session or package is required upfront to confirm your booking. Installments are not currently available.

Are there fees beyond the published program prices?

The ₱1,500 ECCD assessment fee is separate from program prices. Our in-house pre-assessment is free.

We may occasionally ask you to bring activity materials, usually everyday items already available at home. We’ll let you know in advance; there is generally no need to buy anything.

Can packages be shared, transferred, or used across programs?

No. Each package is for one enrolled child and the selected program only. Sessions cannot be shared, transferred, or used for another program.

Can we request a refund for unused sessions?

Unused sessions are non-refundable. Please choose a package that fits your schedule.

If your plans change, rescheduling is subject to our notice requirements, slot availability, and your package’s expiration date. See “What happens if my child misses a session?” for the full rescheduling policy.

Preparing for Your Visit

How can I help my child settle in, and can I stay nearby?

We encourage parents and guardians to wait outside the activity area or in the parent lounge so children can play independently and build confidence.

Some children need time to adjust, especially during their first or second session. Where appropriate, we encourage completing the 4-session package to help your child become familiar with the space, facilitators, and other children.

A consistent routine, positive conversations about playschool, and a short, reassuring goodbye can help. Let your child know you’ll be nearby. Each child adjusts at their own pace; if your child remains distressed, speak with our team about support or adjustments to their sessions.

Does my child need to be toilet-trained?

No. If your child is not yet toilet-trained, please have them wear a diaper during the session. A toilet is available for toilet-trained children.

What should my child wear and bring? Are snacks allowed?

Dress your child in comfortable play clothes. The uniform is optional for children who enjoy wearing one. Suggested items include socks, extra clothes, and diapers if needed.

Water and snacks are not provided. You may bring snacks for your child to eat outside before or after the session. Food is not allowed inside the activity area.

How can I arrange a visit or ask more questions?

Walk-ins are welcome for visits and inquiries. Session slots are first-come, first-served and subject to availability, so please contact us in advance to check your preferred schedule. You can reach us through the options on our Contact Us page.

Free Open Play runs November 8–13, 2026: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM on November 8, and 3:00 PM–5:00 PM on November 9–13. Each child gets a one-hour session, with a maximum of 6 children per hourly slot. Pre-registration and schedule selection are required. Contact us to choose an available slot.

Health, Safety & Parent Updates

What are your health, allergy, and safety policies?

Keep your child home if they have a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, a contagious illness, or feel too unwell to participate.

Tell us about allergies, medical conditions, or care needs before attending so we can discuss whether we can safely accommodate them.

If your child becomes unwell, we’ll contact you for pickup. In a medical emergency, we’ll seek emergency assistance immediately and notify you.

We release children only to a parent, guardian, or authorized person listed on the registration form. Tell us about pickup changes in advance; identification may be requested.

How will I receive updates about my child?

Request updates or a discussion with our team through Facebook Messenger. We currently use Messenger for parent communication and may introduce a dedicated platform in the future.

Do you take photos or videos, and can parents decline permission?

We ask for photo and video consent during registration. You may decline permission or let our team know at any time if you do not want your child photographed or recorded.

How do you clean toys and activity areas?

We sanitize toys and activity areas daily, carry out a thorough cleaning every week, and conduct additional disinfection every quarter.
